Read Me Before Reporting Error

IT instructions for all IT errors reported -- THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO GIS ERRORS.

1. Things to try first.

1.1. Steps to do before you report the error

If your computer is having problems, we would like for you to check these options:

These are the steps we will take you through if you were to call us, so please help us out and we can focus on the problem faster!

 

  •  If the problem is you cannot see the "my documents" folder, log off, then log back on.
  •  
  •  If the problem is an application that is not working correctly, then restart your computer.
  •  
  •  If the computer is frozen, you cannot use the start-shutdown, push and hold the power button in for 8 seconds.  The computer will shutdown.  Give it about 10 seconds, in full shutdown, and then turn it back on.

2. If all else fails...

2.1. Steps to report an error

If you have tried the first steps and you still have a problem:

 

1)   Report it on the form.

Please tell us in as much detail as you can the nature of the problem.  If you type in that "your computer doesn't work" we cannot tell if the nature of the problem is software or hardware.  Please tell us what you were doing when the problem occurred, what program were you trying to access, exactly what occurred.

2)   Be patient!

 

We will make every effort to get to your problem, but we must respond in a first-in-first-out queue.
